Dear Friends, Family and Loved ones,

We have totaled the donations and money raised for the inaugural David J. Ramnath Memorial Dinner and Tennis Tournament.  We apologize for the delay, but we wanted to make sure that all of the numbers were confirmed before we told you all.  

We are incredibly excited to share that we raised approximately $11,854!  That means the new amount of the annual scholarship will be $1,500 per year. 

We had an amazing first year! We cannot thank all of you enough for everything that you did. The countless hours of work transformed both the dinner and the tournament from small ideas to successful events.

We have discussed having the next year's Dinner and Tennis Tournament earlier in the summer. The dinner would be on a Friday, and the tennis tournament the following Saturday and Sunday (if needed). The dinner would be in Clinton and the tournament would be at the PVHS. The following weekends are possible dates:

· June 21 to 23, 2012

· June 28 to 30, 2012

We are going to start planning earlier this year as well and will be in touch soon. Look out for an email from Rohini and Deepak in the next week.  If you know of anyone that wants to get more involved please make sure to let both Rohini (rohini.ramnath@gmail.com) and Deepak (deepakramnath@gmail.com) know.  Our goal is to make next year even bigger so stay tuned for more information.

Thank you all for your hard work and dedication towards making the David J. Ramnath Memorial Dinner and Tennis Tournament happen.  This email is to update you on our progress, and identify key areas we need help in order to make sure both events are a success.  This may be the first email you are getting, but I am adding you on because I thought you may be interested in helping.

• The food has been selected!  We will also get a sheetcake from Sweetheart Bakery closer to the event.  
• Silent Auction: We have over 20 items for the event! Per the advice of a seasoned auction planner, that is plenty for our event.  If you know of anyone who still wants to donate please email rohini.ramnath@gmail.com because maybe we can bundle items.
• We want to update a slide show of pictures to run during the event, so if you have pictures please emaildeepakramnath@gmail.com the attachment.
• Tickets: We have had many wonderful volunteers who are currently selling tickets.  If you (Or anyone you know!) are willing to sell tickets, PLEASE contact rohini.ramnath@gmail.com.  Right now, we are halfway there to our goal number of 100 people attending.  We want to make this event a success and have many people to bid on the auction items!

• As of right now we have not secured a location.  We need someone to volunteer to get in touch with Randy Teymer in person as soon as possible.
